The LOGOFIND team made a courtesy visit to Mayor Butardo upon their arrival to the municipality.  After which they called for a kick-off meeting with the concerned municipal officials to gather first-hand data relevant for the proposed sub-project.  For two days, the team made ocular inspections at the project site, gathered data, made their observations and posed issues and concerns regarding the proposed Health Center renovation.  An exit meeting was also conducted by the team before their take-off to LOGOFIND Office which was held on August 4, 2004 at the MPDC Office.  This was attended by Mayor Manny Butardo, SB Member Marte Caparros, MPDC Russell Narte, Engr. Gregoria Arguelles, Treasurer Adoracion Caparros, OIC-Budget Officer Marichu Alcantara, Project Engr. Enrique Villanea and Dr. Jojo Ardiente.

Preliminary Cost Estimate of the Project reached 6 Million Pesos.  If approved, the project will be funded by WB-LOGOFIND on a 50-40-10 cost sharing scheme.  50% of the project cost will be granted free by MDFO-LOGOFIND, 40% will be in the form of Loan at 12% interest per annum payable in 15 years, and 10% Equity share by the Municipal Government.

Dr. Jojo Ardiente together with all the MHO staff highly expects for the approval and immediate implementation of the proposed sub-project.  Once renovated, it will greatly help them in attaining their goal and mission of providing better and efficient health services to the populace.

The renovated health center will be equipped with the necessary equipment to make it a 24-hour Lying-in center with at least 3-bed capacity delivery-recovery room.
