Fishery
The municipal waters of
Guinayangan (Ragay Gulf) is known mostly for
commercial fish species. This explains the
preponderance of commercial fishing in the
municipality. A few ecological indicator
species are present such as pawikans and manta
rays mostly in the Palad Reef. Small
groups of whales have been sighted passing the
waters of the municipality. This has been
reported for the last couple of years. A
few of the passing whales were reported to have
been captured by fishers or to have landed
injured in surrounding shores. Some
