Several municipal government
employees attended various
seminar/training/workshops called for by different
national agencies in the past week. The
training/workshops has successfully provided the
participants with ample knowledge required of them
for such attendance to the trainings conducted.
Likewise, the participants have all submitted the
required workshop outputs and prepared the reports
required by the training/workshops.
Recently, Carmelo A. C. Pujalte,
the Project Development Officer II, MPDC Office,
attended the Local Governance Performance Management
System (LGPMS) LGU User's Training - Cluster
22. This was held at the Pearl Manila Hotel,
Taft Avenue cor. United Nations Avenue, Manila City
from October 4-6, 2005. The training was
participated in by 52 trainees from the different
municipalities in the Provinces of Quezon, Cavite
and Batangas. The LGU User's Training was conducted
by the Bureau of Local Government Supervision (BLGS)
in partnership with the Regional Office IV-A,
Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG)
as part of the national roll out called by the DILG
for the national implementation on the use of the
LGPMS System. The LGPMS is a management and
development support tool that has the ability to
generate information on the levels of local
government capability, service delivery and state of
development.
A group of participants from
Guinayangan headed by Amelia V. Bello, the Municipal
Budget Officer attended the Orientation
Seminar/Training regarding the Implementation in the
Barangays of RA 9184 otherwise known as the
Government Procurement Reform Act. Together
with MBO Bello is Barangay Bookkeeper Marizza
Hernandez and the representatives of 44 Barangays in
the municipality composed of either the Barangay
Officials, the Barangay Treasurer or the Barangay
Secretary. Ten Barangays in the municipality
were not able to send their representatives in the
said Seminar. The Orientation Seminar was held on
October 4-7, 2005 at the Nawawalang Paraiso Resort
in Tayabas, Quezon. It was conducted by a
joint team from the Region IV-A Offices of the
Commission on Audit (COA), the Department of Budget
and Management (DBM), the Department of Interior and
Local Government (DILG) and the Department of Public
Works and Highways (DPWH). The 4-day seminar
was hosted and organized by the Association of Local
Budget Officers (ALBO) - CALABARZON.
Likewise, three employees from the Office of the
Municipal Accountant composed of Juvy J. Francia,
Fiscal Examiner II, Ruth R. Arcilla, Data Controller
III and Sherlyn G. Seguerra, Accounting Clerk II
attended the Seminar/Training on Property and Supply
Management System held on October 4-7, 2005 at the
Fresh Air Hotel in Lucena City. The 4-day
seminar was conducted by the Commission on Audit -
Region IV-A. |
